Founded in 2020, Rema Construction stands at the intersection of innovation and tradition in the civil construction industry. We're a Wellington based company covering the Lower North Island region, delivering construction projects for utilities — including trenchless technology — alongside general civil works. We pride ourselves on the diverse nature of the projects we deliver and on the professional service we provide.

At Rema Construction, we don't just build utility networks — we build relationships. We collaborate closely with our clients, local communities and stakeholders to make sure every project aligns with their specific needs and goals, from planning and design through to construction and maintenance. Our approach is simple: we aim to make doing business with us easy and enjoyable — staying available, well organised, and communicating clearly and regularly.

Michael Nand, Manager, has held senior management and engineering roles at Transfield, Downer and local council, including Senior Project Manager at J&R Contracting and Senior Build Manager at Downer, before founding Rema Construction in 2020. Tali Finau, Operations Manager, brings over a decade of civil experience from Downer, including work with Wellington Electricity and Powerco. Edwin Metuariki, Supervisor, spent over a decade at Downer across UFB, roading, construction and major projects, and now leads the Wellington team. Vaughan Tuimalo, Drilling Specialist, leads the day-to-day running of the Wellington drilling team, managing B4UDIG requests, permits and potholing.
